Communication and Collaboration
Drama allows pupils to master their ability to communicate, concentrate and co-operate with others, and they will be encouraged to express ideas through a variety of forms, for example; role play, mime, physical theatre and improvisation, promoting both self-confidence and drama skills. Pupils will be encouraged to reflect and evaluate their work and the work of others in a constructive manner and co-operate in groups, developing an awareness of the needs of others and self-discipline.
Exploring the Theatrical Landscape
Over the three year period, pupils will be introduced to the many and varied areas of drama and theatre, including play text, theatre history and its styles, theatre roles and responsibilities and devising. Pupils will be encouraged to explore, create and participate in this, dominantly, practical subject.
