As a Nursery Practitioner at Saint Nicholas School's Rocking Horse Nursery, you'll play a crucial role in providing high-quality care, educational activities, and pastoral support to children attending the nursery. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, from fostering individual development through play and educational activities to building strong relationships with parents/carers. Here's what you can expect in this role:
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure high-level care and support for each child, contributing to pastoral care and maintaining accurate records.
- Facilitate a variety of activities and experiences aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to promote children's interests and development.
- Collaborate with the team to implement daily routines and support the nursery's operations smoothly.
- Foster positive relationships with parents/carers, encouraging their involvement in the nursery and providing regular updates on children's progress.
- Uphold child welfare standards, complying with EYFS requirements and maintaining health and safety protocols.
- Undertake professional duties as required, including continuous professional development and participation in appraisals.
